Japanese Tour Media Release

“Epiphone Artist Ali Handal has been on a whirlwind tour of Japan this week! A highlight came on Tuesday, December 7th when Ali held a guitar and songwriting workshop at the Toho College of Music in Tokyo. The workshop was part of “Rock On 1 Studio” which is a class open to a select 20 students from the Pro-Musician program.

Ali opened the clinic by playing ‘I Miss You’ and two other songs from her ‘Breathing Underwater’ CD. She then moved on to talk about songwriting techniques, life as a pro-musician based in Los Angeles, as well as marketing and promotional techniques.

The workshop also featured a Question & Answer time, which is somewhat uncharacteristic of Japanese students. The response was great and the students had a lot of questions about the U.S. music scene, Ali’s practice routines, and more.

As an added bonus, Ali closed the clinic by signing copies of the 2005 Epiphone Calendar which she is featured in and gave one to each of the attending students.

The day was capped off by a solo acoustic show at the famous Pink Cow Restaurant, Bar And Art Gallery offering the students a first hand look at Ali’s live performance.”
