“A triumph… From the first measure of the rocking “You Get What You Settle For,” you know you’re in good hands.”
~ Paul Zollo, American Songwriter Magazine

Chock full of cleverly crafted lyrics and catchy hooks, Handal doesn’t skimp in the killer guitar performance department.
~ Guitar World

Lead guitarist & singer-songwriter Ali Handal sets the stage ablaze with fiery guitar passages and soulful lyrics delivered by her powerhouse voice.

Vintage Guitar magazine describes Ali as a “devilishly witty songwriter whose guitar is as blue and gutsy as her lyrics.” When asked about her music and stage presence, fans simply say “badass.”

Onstage and on record, Ali oozes an empowered female sexuality that is reflected in her lyrics, as well as the swagger of her songwriting and guitar playing.  She has earned raves from Guitar Player, American Songwriter, Guitar World, and Vintage Guitar magazines. She’s cracked the Billboard album charts, and toured Australia, Japan and beyond. Ali has sung backup for Neil Young, and has been songwriting legend Paul Williams’s featured vocalist. She’s had her songs featured in numerous films and hit TV shows.

She was asked to write Hal Leonard’s guitar method Guitar for Girls, a book + audio brimming with encouraging pointers, as well as uplifting quotes and remarkable songs from female songwriters in all genres. Ali is also known for her role as lead guitarist in the all-female Aerosmith tribute RagDolls, playing note-for-note renditions of Joe Perry’s iconic but elusive solos.

Ali has released four albums, as well as a series of singles from her forthcoming album Slow Burn.  Her song “Shut Your Mouth and Do Something” was chosen for Spotify’s “Nu-Blues” & “Women of the Blues” playlists, as well as Joe Bonamassa’s “Cutting Edge Blues” Spotify playlist. Slow Burn is due to be released in early 2024, produced by Ali’s long-time collaborator and four-time Grammy Award winner Seth Atkins Horan.
